We took the experience of the outdoor farmers market –different vendors, rotating schedules, surprises –and brought it inside.

Vendors are able to sell directly from stalls in the store, very similar to an outdoor farmers market. But what farmers market brings you wifi? What farmers market has beautiful farm tables for you to sit and peacefully enjoy your food while grabbing a cup of tea or coffee inside. More importantly, what farmers market is downtown, with free parking, and open all day Sundays? Kick back, listen to music, and enjoy the environment.

If you are a legal business and interested in becoming an onsite vendor and renting out a booth in the store, please contact us directly at eatwell@boxcargrocer.com. Booth rates start at $25 per day. The Boxcar Grocer supports local and sustainable farming practices. We do not require that items be certified organic, however, a sustainability assessment is part of the vetting process. All products must be made by you or your staff.

All vendors selling edible products must prepare food in a Department of Health approved commercial kitchen. Vendors must be properly licensed with the Georgia Department of Agriculture. Packaged foods must have Food Sales Establishment License and Dept of Agriculture approved labels.

We require the following documentation before any agreement is made for vendors to sell onsite:

1.  Government Issued ID

2.  Business License [attached to a licensed commercial kitchen]/Sales Tax ID

3.  Business EIN #

4.  General and product liability insurance

5. Compliance with Georgia Department of Agriculture, Department of Health, or the USDA and obtain any additional permits and licenses required by local and State law.
