Mandela Foods Cooperative

Last week I attended a Civil Eats Kitchen Table Talk that included a panel of young food activists who have been working to highlight the importance of a healthy lifestyle. In addition to their passion and creativity, their commitment to broadening access to real food has had profound effects within the communities in which they work. One of the young men on the panel was James Berk, an owner-worker at the Mandela Foods Cooperative in West Oakland who is profiled in this video.
